[from a news clipping attached to the back]: “Architect’s Sketch by J. Russell Bailey, AIA / Sweet Briar Library Addition / Preliminary plans have been submitted for a $400,000 addition to the Mary Helen Cochran Library at Sweet Briar College, Dr. Anne Pannell, the college’s president, has announced. The plans of the addition were made by J. Russell Bailey of Orange, architect and specialist in library design. Sweet Briar has received a $300,000 grant from the Charles A. Dana foundation, to be matched by funds raised by the college, to build the wing.”
